Redound Football---100 Years : An Old Hound's Musical and Pictorial Tribute
#19
The first time I had ever heard of Corbin was in 1982. As you entered the city limits to Prestonsburg there was a huge sign that said, " Go Blackcats Beat Corbin".  That season they met in the semifinals of the playoffs.  Well, I had no idea who Corbin was or where they were located.  Anyway I do like Corbin for different reasons now.  I love that the greatest coach of all-time, Roy Kidd, is from there and played there.  I like their school colors and uniforms because they look a lot like Ohio State's colors and uniforms, and it don't get much better than that.  I love their mascot, the Redhounds.  It's very original.  They also have had a rich tradition, but they do desperately need another state title.  It's been way too long since their last.
