It stopped mattering as much for me when they started kneeling and trying to make political statements!!
This goes for all sports and teams I followed!!
I went over a year of not watching any college or pro sports because of it. Stopped doing fantasy football, which I really enjoyed. Needless to say it was a huge adjustment for me to stop watching and following sports. If someone would have told me I would have went a weekend without watching sports, I would have told them they were nuts!! But I did it and filled my time with other things. Doing this put sports back into perspective when I started watching again and caused me to place a lot less importance on wins and losses!!

As long as Calipari continues to coach UK, my interest in college basketball will remain at a very low level. While Kentucky was losing to mighty Kansas State, I was watching the championship round of the Onix Austin Showdown Professional Pickleball Tournament. I was not expecting UK to survive the weekend, so I decided not to shell out the money to subscribe to CBS for a month to watch one or two UK games. YouTube is free and pickleball players still play mostly for the love of the game. There are no $10 million/year coaches in the sport either.

In other words, UK basketball, as played under the direction of John Calipari, has taken a backseat to pickleball in my list of entertainment preferences. I did check the score of the UK game periodically through one of my Amazon devices, but I am glad that i did not watch another UK trainwreck.

Maybe look into a digital antenna and watch a lot of channels for free. I got one off of Amazon, I am able to watch about 18 different channels where I live.
All three major networks in my area each have about 3-4 other channels besides the normal broadcast channel you can watch.

Just a thought!

I have plenty of viewing options I just don't watch much "alphabet" network TV any more. We have a Sling TV subscription and the fastest internet connection available but I watch more YoueTube than TV. Last season, I subscribed to CBS, Sling, and the SEC Network to give myself as much opportunity to watch UK basketball as possible, but I didn't actually watch many games. Calipari has just about killed my interest in college basketball. This season, I just decided not to pay any extra to watch the 'Cats.
