^^^Geeezzz just don't break the rules...you're not a victim all the time OSH even though that's what you're told by liberal TV...If the rules say don't dunk in warmups don't don't in warmups, don't break the rules and cry foul when the rules are enforced...it's not complicated good Lord, oh my bad you think we came from nothing...hope to see you in the music threads...

There is debate about whether any rules were actually broken. Dunking IS ALLOWED during warmups. Were the refs actually on the court or on the sidelines, hidden from view? Some region officials blow their whistles to announce their presence, just so something like this doesn't happen. There is no way Coach P , who is closing in on 500 games won, is  gonna have his kids dunking with the refs standing there on the court. Again, dunking is allowed during warmups and most all HS teams have players dunking pre-game. If the refs haven't entered the court but are huddled up in a conversation off the court and hidden from view, has a violation occurred? Does anyone know what the letter of the rule states? I know it allows for dunking during pre-game warmups but  just when does it become technicals and a suspension for the coach?

Exactly OSH.. That is my debate. I am not arguing the rule. I am curious as to when are the refs are actually considered "ON THE COURT?"  They were all 3 huddled in the corner talking with a group of parents, asst coaches, and the same corner where SL has their student section. Very busy corner. They were NOT inside the court or at midcourt. So while they are laughing and joking with people in the corner of the gym they hear the rim pop and turn to look. Once they entered the court and in view of the players away from the busy student section corner there were no more dunks. With all that said: "when are the referees considered on the court?"
