Dunking During Pre-Game Warmups: Stupid rule/excessive punishment???
#8
I've never been a fan of this rule. Seems a bit nonsensical that something like dunking is prohibited in the presence of the officials but permitted in their absence. I understand that goals might not have been as sturdy or affordable in the past, but I would think we're long past that point by now.

One of the last applications of the NCAA's rule against dunking in warm-ups benefitted Kentucky when a Kansas State player was given a technical prior to the tip of their 2014 NCAA Tournament game. The NCAA abolished the rule the following year.

Would be fine with seeing this game be the impetus to remove an antiquated item from the KHSAA's rulebook.
