Isn't that freedom of speech?

There isn't FOS.  From what I was told anti - NFL and anti-Goodell signs were also confiscated in Cincinnati at the Bengals-Ravens game. Is there true FOS on message boards like this one?  Thoughts and words are censored everywhere. Now, the degree to which that is a good or bad thing is might be a good topic for another thread. But the short answer is "no," there isn't free speech. Not really. Not without consequences, at least.
Apples to oranges. Rupp Arena is a publicly owned facility and the University of Kentucky is a public university. I may be mistaken, but I don't see any reason that fans attending games at Rupp Arena have to check their First Amendment rights at the front door.

Does anyone know if there are restrictions on fan signage at Rupp? Are signs allowed? If so, what size?  Seems like it would quite distracting to have 23,000 signs  in the house like the one the guy brought in.  Are we okay with signs saying absolutely anything the fan wants to say?

Yeah, seemed pretty authoritarian by the blue coats.

Are we okay with any message a fan wants to display? I mean, if you allow one opinion, don't you have to allow them all?

Would you all be okay with:

" CAL IS A MAGA SPY AND OWNS 7 JEWISH LASERS."

How about?

"CAL MADE $23,287.67 TODAY AND URINATED ON 3 HOOKERS AT COWBOYS SHOWGIRLS IN LEXINGTON"
The great thing about having the right to free speech means expressing unpopular opinions because authorities are almost always okay with expressions of support for the bang-up job that they are doing. You do make a good point about obscuring the view of other patrons of the game. However, if the guy was not blocking anybody's view during the game, then I don't think that he should have been tossed from the arena - especially if he offered to toss the sign. I see signs supporting home teams at ball games all the time, although I don't catch many UK games these days because they have stopped putting a quality product on the floor under Coach Cal's guidance.
