I didn’t see anyone from Pikeville come on here and claim the refs took it from them or make any other excuses. That’s the difference in Pikeville and some other programs. They took their losses, learned from it and moved on.  Their fans don’t come on here to make excuses but when they win against a good team someone is always on here saying Pikeville cheated.  Never Fails.

Refs are human. The foul calls were even. Harlan shot more free throws and Pikeville actually had a starter foul out

Good bounce back win against a team that beat them 10 days or so ago.  Congrats Panthers.
Yeah it’s hard to complain about the refs when they lose at home against a non region opponent. It’s a known fact it’s impossible to get a fair share when you cross region lines, and especially if you are playing the team hosting the classic. And even more when you just beat the hosting team and their home floor not too long ago. I hate the “harlan shot more free throws” argument. Anyone that watches basketball knows the number of free throw attempts one team has does not impact a game unless the difference between the two teams is staggering in number. Like a game i seen at an out of state tournament had a free throw difference of 27-5. That’s a difference maker. Doubt pikeville had a significantly lesser amount. I will never say that a team lost because of the refs, because refs suck universally and teams have to grow over that on the road, but let’s not act like pikeville isn’t notorious for having 3 blind zebras…

ps. I don’t even like Harlan city i’m just here
