I don't think that teenagers today can handle being told they are good and not get the big head about it. When I played and was told that I was doing well, I would graciously say thank you and be on my way. I wish that kids would just go out and play their hardest and leave it at that. Let the community do everything else. The kids "job" is on the court. Randy Davis, we seem to have the same opinion on everything.

I don't think coaches today can handle a really good ball player if he is not related to them. I've seen things done to kids , to take away from their skill and use them to make other players look better. I think it is a shame that an adult would do that. It happens and everyone knows it, but it won't work in the long run. And really good players are not arrogant. Some adults are so tied up in sports and want to controll the end results for personal gain that they never think of the kids. Kids work too hard to be good players to let some old dude take it away from them. [Not speaking about Mr. Davis ]. Don't pretend to like a kid and then try to do him in. The kids I know take your praise with a grain of salt and keep on working on their game.
