However, Coach Mays could've chosen to not engage in the conversation, and told him that if he was interested in moving his kid to Ashland, he needs to speak to the Athletic Director or Principal. I know for a fact that is how most schools tell their coaches to handle a phone call like that. He slipped up, and is paying for it. Does NOT make what the parent did right, by any means, but parents don't abide by KHSAA by-laws, coaches do.
