Did some of you listen to the audio long enough to hear the statement made by Mays concerning the Bell kid from Russell?  He said “I regret not going after the Bell kid harder”.  Using common sense that should tell you something about him recruiting.

He was joking, lol. He didn’t ever go after the Bell kid. It is my understanding Bell was thinking of maybe coming to Ashland and he told him he should stay at Russell. So that statement was a tongue in cheek statement in a conversation just kidding around. You’d have to know him to understand that.

You should be a defense attorney. "He was joking, your honor!"

If he is a defense attorney, he is horrible.  Sounds more like my grandson making unreasonable excuses for doing something stupid.
