Clay County 30 Perry Central 27

I felt like Perry almost went too conservative late. They had the ball twice with what had to be less than 8 minutes and the lead and struggled to pick up first downs. On the last stand, the Tigers were tackling them for loss of yardage each time. Rice made the most of his second chance after throwing a crucial late pick. I’m not sure how they’re doing the Playoffs this year but going to Wayne County would at least be a change of scenery compared to playing Johnson or Letcher again. I’ve never been a fan of that format.
Cross district playoffs this year. Looks like Clay will finish 3rd and go to No. 2 Wayne Co. and PCC will finish 4th and go to Corbin, if Corbin beats Wayne. Reclassification next year. Could be some big changes for everyone. If Clay's coach can keep scheduling like he has, Clay could be good. Lot depends on Madden or Techmo Bowl or whatever he uses.
