Whether a person believes those ratings are accurate or not, unless CalPreps' math is wrong, it is an objective measure of each team's strength of schedule.

I don't get offended when people refer to Johnson Central's schedule as weak and I mean no offense when I say that Clay County's schedule is very weak. As for D-1 talent, it really has nothing to do with strength of schedule. Strong teams often are blessed with plenty of D-1 talent but there are plenty of players who play in D-1 programs who played on very weak high school teams. There are coaches who would struggle to win if they had 10 D-1 players, and I do not mean that as an insult to Clay County's coach.

I am going to try to refrain from predicting that games will be decided with a running clock. Anybody can look at results from this year and last year for two teams and figure out if the result is going to be decided by a running clock margin, so there is not much point in me pointing out the obvious. That being said, if your team has repeatedly lost to a team with the clock running at the end of the game, then you should not feel personally insulted when people predict more of the same.

Good luck to Clay County Friday night. I would like to see all of the team's in Johnson Central's district improve year to year. That would go a long way to eliminating people calling their schedule weak. Until then, just ignore it when posters refer to your team's schedule as weak. It's not like you have any control over the scheduling anyway, so why take offense?
Exactly! 110%agree. Without looking it up I’d say Corbin’s schedule is at or below JCs schedule this year as well. Like you said, it doesn’t bother me. Just doesn’t prepare us or you or them as much for post season

Edit***

After getting curious I looked it up just to see. And just show how off some of calpreps ratings are. It shows Corbin as a 5.7 and boyle with a 5.5. And JC with a -3.1 or sometbing close to that.  That’s beyond ridiculous!!! Clay coming in at a -34.7. Note I’m not a big fan of any of calpreps algos or rankings. It’s probably good if you’re top 100 or 1000 in the nation, but after that it’s garbage IMO.
Now you made me mad calling my Pikeville team weak Hound05 and really hurt my feelings. Just kidding but Clay county has improved but in their district they have a tough road but with cross bracketing which I don’t know who that will be but they could maybe get a couple of wins.
