Really do not know much about how the RPI works, but since LCA is 2A and Lex Cath is 4A would it even help Lex Cath in the RPI if they beat a 2A team?

Yes because they're going to get points for the win and LCA will likely have a good record, but they'll also get the OOWP regardless of win or loss.

Just a clarification about the RPI. A team gets zero points for a loss no matter any cirmcumstances.
