I saw him speak at a coaching clinic in the early 2000's when he was the head man at UK.  The thing that struck me most about him was that he was so humble and approachable.  He kept referring to himself as a high school coach that got lucky.  He invited everyone at the clinic to come to any UK practice that we wanted.  He told us that we didn't need to call ahead or anything ,and that we could just "show up" anytime we wanted.
