Those mid-90's teams went through some crazy good teams to win those titles.

We went to camp one year with Breathitt County at Jaybezz or whatever it's called down by Lake Cumberland during their prime run and they were a great group of guys but having to scrimmage them  several times that week was humbling lol.

That year we faced our toughest competition before the season even started.  They easily won state that year but definitely made us a better team.

My son went to Jaybezz as a Freshman and some things he wouldn't even talk about, like an old war vet. Lol. He did manage to win every single hill climb against other lineman (but he was 135 pounds at the time playing nose...). He just said those practices/scrimmages were hell and several quit as soon as they got back. He said quitting was dumb cause that was easily the toughest part of that summer practice. I think a couple of parents may have went and got kids that didn't come back until the next season. Tough stuff. I also have heard some pretty good (or bad depending how you look at it), fight stories down there. One at night, kids fighting in the woods, etc.. Lol. A different world is what that was.
