I have been wondering the same thing. The way that McCoart and Conley have been running the ball so far, it's going to be hard for Lawson to crack the starting lineup in the backfield. It would be tough for a coach to tell a kid averaging 9.5 yards a carry and over 100 yards rushing per game that he has lost his starting position - but Lawson had even better stats before his injury. Most coaches would welcome such a problem.

I wonder how well a no huddle running offense would work for JC? Not for every series, but as a way of exploiting their depth and for conditioning purposes. It would be nice to be able to go to a hurry up offense in the playoffs after practicing it some during district games. A criticism of offenses like JC's has always been that they can't afford to fall behind against a good team but JC has generally been as effective at mounting come backs as pass-oriented teams and pass-oriented teams often have trouble moving the chains when they try to sit on a lead.

I personally think that if JC was able to do so it would be very very hard on opposing defenses..Its already a challenge just to try to figure out how to stop the train but adding a faster train is a whole lot harder to stop...As the old saying is its hard to stop a train... Smile
