I don't think KHSAA wants to do a new alignment
I've always advocated Harlan County and Harlan with Letcher and Jenkins in the 53rd
I'd move Knott, Cordia and JBS to 15th to give that region enough teams

That would be a thought. It would also be hard on Powell and estill if they had to travel to Harlan and the same if either Harlan team  had to travel to Powell or estill.

Harlan is 143 miles from Irvine and 120 to Stanton. For a comparison with a team already in the 14th, Letcher Central, Whitesburg is 121 miles to Irvine and 101 to Stanton. 
There’s not a huge difference, about 20 miles travel one way. But every region except 6th and 7th have teams located far apart. Think of the 12th with Wayne County  traveling to the Jessamine County schools. Or Clark County’s drive to the northern Kentucky Ohio River schools. Also in the 16th it’s probably a good distance from Greenup County to Menifee and Bath County.
