Actually, from what I read at the end of the article, the schools elected not to do more investigation into the transfers and now that the applications to transfer is 1400 up from 800 around this time of year, everyone involved in the process is wanting relief from it. They went as far to say that almost every transfer was ruled eligible because the initial investigations were not legit or not done properly. Meaning its costing someone a lot of money when a rule like this keeps all that from happening. I at one time was a stay where you play kind of guy. I at one time would never have considered it. There are hometown programs that have that same attitude, you need to stay and represent us when the program isn't doing it their selves.  I have talked to many of parents about this very subject. Most people don't even work where they live today. Most drive up to 2 hours away every day. So, moving today isn't like it was years ago, parent will pull the trigger faster especially if they see if might help their kid get an education paid for on another level. This isn't all about sports. Some of these applicants for transfer doesn't even play sports.
