I love it. Never should have been changed to what it is now. I’d love for 3rd round and semi state be at a neutral site also, but that’s not even close to being talked about.

However, #1 seed should be given a true reward for winning their district- a bye.  Let 2 play 3 in first round.

Imagine, you are 0-10.  Since you are in a four team district….. surprise; YAY- you’re a playoff team.  Now, instead of taking up equipment, planning for winter weights and improving- you get to take an eight hour bus ride to get a 40 point; running clock butt whipping put on your KIDS.  And those KIDS are beat to death, injured, tired, and some that aren’t hurt pretend to be to avoid “quitting”.  Playoff format DEFINITELY should be changed to at least just the top three teams.

i tend to agree.  I would love to see the playoff format adjusted.  in today's game, rarely do you see a 1 seed lose to a 4.  And i mean rarely.   I do believe Rowan Co lost this year to Harrison in 4A....but If I'm not mistaken,  their best running back was out with an injury.  That outcome is simply not the norm.   Cut the field to the top 2 or top 3 and move on.   but......it's been about money.  plain and simple.  And, with the KHSAA being so depleted of funds due to COVID, I simply don't see a format change in the offing anytime soon.
