What do you think?  Do you take the view that a foul is a foul regardless of when its committed or should an official consider the context of the game? Let's say a foul was committed 90 feet from the goal with a few tenths of a second left in a tie game like this one and the foul had no effect on the outcome. Do you call the foul?

no

Someone can make an argument for either case. I mean, a basketball game is 32 minutes. It's fair to call any foul committed within that time frame . However, I tend to lean on your side. Consider the situation. A few tenths of a second and a foul that has no effect on the play... I think I probably don't blow my whistle.
