Russellville is much better than people on here are giving them credit for. As for why were they not here last year? They have some transfers. The Woodard kid is a freak athlete that transferred from Logan County. He is a matchup problem. They are not LCA but as far as team speed and athletes they are up there with LCA and Mad Central. Pikeville better bring their A game.

This is what a lot of folks dont know about Russellville. The reason they were not on the radar in 1A last year and are in the finals this year is they had several transfers from Logan Co. and 5-6 covid hold backs. Truth is the community and county has rallied around this coach and the program. This is a dangerous game for Pikeville and rest assured this will be no running clock game. These dudes can play and have dangerous speed and height at WR and a QB that throws a great deep ball.  I do think Pikeville is better up front and play a more disciplined brand of football. Experience will surely play a role in this one also.
