Today's report was amazing on every level. 4% wage growth. large drops in part time employment due to financial reasons. Uptick in labor participation rate. Huge private employer gains. Long term unemployment drop. Large upward revisions in prior months employment. Large drop in overall unemployment -- to just 5.4%. Lower than the 70 year, and 20 year averages.

so kudos to the economy today.

how much of this is due to biden's policies? Besides the covid stimulus several months ago -- not a lot. The vast majority of it is attributed to the fed reserve easy money policy, and reopening of the economy due to the vaccinations. However, don't look for next months reports to be as kind... especially with the virus raging as it is in most of the country.

However, I pray that the economy continues its resiliency. And I don't care who gets the credit for it. As long as it grows and people are able to find work, dignity, and security. It doesn't matter to me, one bit.. who makes it happens.
I wish the Trumpsters on here would agree with you on this but they won't they can't if their Leader finds out they give President Biden a thumbs up he will throw them out of the den.
It is a good jobs report nothing to complain about it but their are 2 Trumpsters on here who will think of something or give Reagan credit for it even though he has been out of office for 33 years he always does when a democrat president has good numbers never fails. And they will also give kudos out to their Leader you can bet on it even though he is the one who wrecked the economy.

Its all politics.
I'm sure you'd like to say that you've never done what they are doing, but you can't. I'd bet my life that you weren't posting the jobs number and unemployment rates under trump each month and giving him props for it... month after month after month. Correct?

Perhaps you can just be understanding of why they do what they do, rather than judge them for it. Because again, I bet the last bit was 100% true.

In the end, whats it matter? Would your day be better if they suddenly said, "Good job biden". If so, then thats really really sad to hear.
I gave Trump credit for some of his deregulations but the tax cuts no they don't work never will unless you can get them to the people who buys the goods.
But in my lifetime there has never been a first term president who has ever inherited a better economy than Trump prove me wrong. Now did he help yes by deregulation not the tax cuts.
I literally didn't mention any of that. You were talking about the fellow conservatives refusing to give Biden credit for a good job report. I said, I find it doubtful that you were posting month after month, the jobs numbers that Trump had.. giving him credit for them. You appear to allude to the fact that you didn't, by your silence on the actual point I made.

The deregulation stuff was itty bitty in the grand scheme of a 20 trillion dollar income. They didn't give us 3.5% unemployment.

Trump received a pretty good economy.. sure did. But again, 3 years later.. its trumps economy. Obama didn't give us 3.5% unemployment rate in early 2020. Thats just silly.

Now, since you brought up economies that presidents inherited -- Biden inherited the fastest growing economy of any president in history. The 2nd half of 2020, GDP grew at 19% per quarter on average. The fastest ever recorded, just as Biden was coming into office.

So the door swings both ways. I have to ask you though, besides the covid bill in march -- what other things has Biden done to supercharge this economy? Practically speaking, nothing really. So I'm not sure how much of the current environment is a direct result of Biden vs an economy that has reopened to favorable growth conditions created by federal reserve policy (again, under the leadership of mostly Trump governors and its chairman).
When Obama left the unemployment rate was 4.7% when he took office it was 7.8%.
Now no I did not get on here every month when Trump was in office I worked pretty well worked 6 days a week I retired last August. So now I have a lot of free time on my hand Trump did have a 2nd half GDP of 19% per quarter. But if you average his 4 year GDP it's pretty bad it's .95% As far as Biden's economy he has inherited a pretty good situation as good as Trump NO. The virus is still with us it's not going no where unless you get all the people vaccinated. But his rescue plan is helping no denying that.
Don't know much about the fed but that they have interest too low.
