Russell hires Derek Cooksey who was an assistant last year for the Red Devils.

Per Zack Klemme of ADI:
Derek Cooksey is Russell’s new boys basketball coach, said principal Anna Chaffin. He had been a Red Devils assistant and before that Fairview’s head coach.

Not a real surprise here, scrappy predicted this a soon as barrick flew the coop. they had to act like they were actually searching for someone outside the program. congrats derek im sure Taz will be right there with you again. both great guys
