Let’s stay on target. You said you’d work for min wage because you have too much pride to trot to mailbox even-though your family would benefit from the unemployment amount.

You sticking by that disengenious garbage, Hooter?   I think you’re FOS.
It's not a matter of pride, Twin Ticks - it is a matter of conscience. Earning a living is a good habit that I have formed throughout my adult life. You should try it. As for working for minimum wage, I doubt that will ever be my only alternative. I have marketable job skills in multiple areas.
That’s not the hypothetical situation you put forth, Hooter. Quit trying to move the goalpost, so you can score.

If the only job you can get is the minimum wage restaurant job or take the more substantial unemployment you could receive because of a pandemic bungled by your govt., your picking the minimum wage?  That pride gonna pay the bills?

The restaurant jobs that I mentioned were not minimum wage jobs, Twin Ticks. You made that assumption but the restaurant was unable to match the $2,800/mo. in federal and state benefits that potential employees are receiving, which is well above minimum wage. Consequently, three family members are working very long hours with no other employees to avoid going out of business.

What I would not be doing is sitting around riding the government gravy train as long as the monthly relief checks kept coming. You should be out looking for work, Twin Ticks, not pretending to be at work while you post on BGR all day long.
That’s 17.50 dollars an hour for 40 hours a week vs whatever your restaurant pays. Ain’t too many restaurants paying that. You’ve found a needle in a haystack if so.

Hooter, you’re trying to avoid the hypothetical question.
Will you do what you expect others to do?  Trade unemployment for what is half of what you made before the economy collapsed.

Liar.  Of course you would.

TRt says I work at the unemployment office.  You say I’m unemployed.
damn, I’m getting up every morning for no reason and going to the wrong place Big Grin

you guys are obsessed with my job.
What job?  Big Grin Nobody would pay somebody to post hour after hour on BGR under multiple accounts.

The federal and state governments should not be providing incentives for people like you not to work. It makes sense that you support massive federal spending bills that pay people for doing nothing, Twin Ticks.
