The bill never reached McConnell. Pelosi stalled the bill because of the election. She could not care less about people suffering and delayed the checks and cut the amount that Trump was willing to approve. The main purpose of these big spending bills is to fund Democrat slush funds. Trump offered to sign a bill that gave more people who were actually impacted by the pandemic but did not include billions of dollars of unrelated spending. Illegal aliens will get more money than many American citizens will receive.

Is there any scumbag Democrat that you are not willing to defend?   I don't think so.

It is impossible to have an honest debate with a liar. Trump offered to sign a clean bill that was stripped of all of the non-related garbage that Pelosi insisted on including. Democrats wanted to bail out states like New York, whose governors inflicted damage on their own economies by forcing businesses and schools to close for long periods. All Pelosi had to do was accept Trump's offer and the checks would have been cut in October. McConnell might not have liked it, but the votes were there to pass the bill through the Senate.
