Travel restriction is a pretty common when tactic fighting a Pandemic:  rest of the world has been doing it and didn’t lose 500k+ citizens.

Comrade Cardfan, national travel restrictions may be normal in the People's Republic but it is very uncommon in the United States of America. Of course, there is a precedent for imposing national domestic travel bans. FDR rounded up Japanese Americans and placed them into concentration camps during World War II.

If China Joe implements domestic travel restrictions, his goal will be to drag the economies of free states with Republican governments down to the level of states like New York and California.
