I talked to a Superintendent who told me that having enough teachers and support staff to operate the schools safely was the biggest obstacle in opening the schools.

Which infers there were not enough teachers and support staff to operate safely before the pandemic, but Superintendents operated their schools anyway? Don't get me wrong. I'm no authority on the matter but I do know a fairly large number of teachers and aides. They've all been vacccinated some time back.

The headline on one story this morning went something like 'House Dems have teachers union's backs.' And there is the real-time model of the Catholic schools which have been open, and the CV rate has been nominal. I heard teachers unions told the president not until 2022.
