How about cornbread and milk?  Always a good late-night treat.  My pawpaw would take a big piece of cornbread left over from supper and crumble it up in big ole glass of  buttermilk. I prefer the sweet milk.

I don't think this is strange at all.  It's a southern thang.  The only problem I have with it is that I always get choked eating it.
