I think Khsaa should do like NCAA is doing that any senior who meets age requirement can return to play next season. That would allow about 80% of seniors to return if they need to. There is a bunch of kids that has scholarships riding on this season and they should have the option of playing a full year.

 
The only time I remember a High School Senior getting an extra year was Bobby Leffew so I won't say it is an awful idea or not doable, but  having double digit kids at each program potentially playing while not attending school is in general a very slippery slope.

This decision made a difference in Bobby's life as after his injury everyone withdraw their scholarship.  That extra 1/2 year proved to the University of Louisville he still had it and received a full ride. IMO that was a good thing that happened.  On a side note, Bobby still went to high school and took classes that prepared him for College, starting Jan. 1.  This was a very rare circumstance that allowed this to happen as he still  was not over the KHSAA age requiement.

No doubt.. it was kind of unprecedented but it was the right call that the KHSAA made.

I wanted to throw that caveat out because it is the only thing remotely close to what he was suggesting and I do think it was a good thing. With that said, a perfect example with one player as an outlier who still met the age restriction is a whole lot different than potentially allowing every Senior athlete to have the opportunity to return, male and female.

Logistically this is essentially impossible.

I agree with everything you say!  It would be a nightmare to let all Sr.s that choose to come back for another year.
