This was a game that both teams needed and will benefit from. West Carter has a good mixture of skill position players and talented lineman. They aren’t going to beat any of the front runners in 2A but they are a solid team. WC showed Paintsville areas we must improve or it will be a repeat of last year.

Paintsville and Pikeville not being 1& 2 in the RPI is also an injustice.

I do not like the RPI. West Carter losing points for playing a team like Paintsville makes no sense. West Carter isn’t near as the same level as LCA/Somerset/Mayfield/Beechwood but I do think they can win a region championship if they get a district champion other than Beechwood.

Totally agree. Pikeville is the king of 1A and sit at #4. Totally unacceptable. I was impressed with WC. They would be #3 in 1A, IMO.
