Very nice, solid work as always my friend. Alot of tradition there. Makes one wonder how it took Belfry so long to win their first state championship with all those great players that's played on Pond Creek over the years.

1965, 1979, & 1990 all stand out.

In all those seasons Belfry had undefeated regular seasons and finished ranked in the Top 20 of the Lit Ratings (have not found 65 yet).

Those were some excellent teams with excellent players that just ran into the wrong team in a playoff system that was simply harder to win in. 1979 it was the State Finals before they lost obviously. 1990 it was just that Ashland team of legend.
