Hazard has to be the favorite they have played all the contenders in the region and have won all the games except for a split with Perry each winning on the others home court. Their fans and Coach hunger for a Regional championship as they have had an extended dry spell dating back 11 years . Knott They are playing at home and have to be considered a legitimate threat. They had a terrible break when their center broke his collarbone a few weeks ago. A good kid who I personally think is the best true big man in the region. They seem to have other problems as well. Fans are openly on this site questioning the P G ‘s distribution of the ball. If it is on here you can safely say there are more not on here including parents and kids associated with the team who have similar opinions. Perry they are talented enough to win the region. Their biggest hurdle could possibly be just getting out of the district. If they survive the 54th then they will be dangerous. They are the most dangerous to Hazard’s chances if they make it to the region. Estill they got over the hump a couple of years ago and have smooth sailing into the region. Their coach is excellent and they have a very good team the draw will be their biggest obstacle they will almost certainly have 2 tough games in the region and could have 3 depending on the luck of the regional draw. Wolfe can beat anyone in the region they are young and hungry. Again the draw for the regional will be crucial for them. Breathitt I don’t know if they can string 3 games together in the regional but you can bet no one wants to draw them in the regional. Buckhorn if they survive the 54th another team no one wants to draw in the regional. Cordia they have as much talent as anyone in the region just haven’t put it together. But again will be a challenge for anyone in the tournament.
