I was at the game and it could possibly be the worst I have seen Clay look in a long time. South shot lights out from 3.....but I can't recall one shot in which the shooter wasn't wide open. South controlled the game from the opening tip.......Clay played a lazy zone and South moved the ball around very nicely and made open shots. That is why the score was so low. South would have a 2 minute possession and then drain a 3.........There was never a sense of urgency from Clay. Everyone wants to say why don't this Clay team play man to man....the answer is simple....they can't......they don't have the speed or depth to guard teams man. Their only hope is to play a lazy zone and hope the team shoots about 10% from the 3 point line.

Hard to see them going very far with that zone. South really got after it defensively and made their open shots. They are hard to beat when they play like that. Couldnt understand why Clay didnt go inside to their big guys more, thats where they had an advantage. Also, I would have been embarrassed if my guys quit with a minute on the clock like that, they practically walked off the court. Cromer showed great restraint not ripping the rim off right there haha
