IMO, which means very little, is that Mayfield and Somerset were pretty evenly matched. The score agrees with this. Yes, if the Jumpers wouldn’t have botched the kickoff, it could have been different. If Mayfield doesn’t fumble inside the 5 and miss a short fg, it could have been different, too. Stats don’t reflect a dominating performance either way.

That's not the point. The point is had Mayfield won, no one would have any doubt whether they could play with some of these other teams. However, Somerset won and now we are the "just glad to be here" team. As for the fumble, Mayfield recovered and was given a first down on the goal line and still couldn't punch it in. I've got to learn to just shut up. Debating with people who have no respect for your program is pointless.
