The winningest high school football coach of all time John McKissick passed away earlier today. He was 93 years old. McKissick accumulated 621 career wins in 62 seasons at Summerville High School in Summerville, South Carolina. He retired from coaching back in 2014. This is a record that may never been broken. That's 62 seasons at a little more than 10 wins a season. Coach Haywood is the winningest coach in Kentucky and 5th in active coaches in the United States and has a 448-138 all time record which is only 586 career games coached. 621 wins is crazy to even consider in today's world. You could go undefeated at 15-0 for 41 straight seasons and would only accumulate 615 wins. This is also where A.J. Green who is a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals played high school football.
