But it says nothing about the quality of the opponent. Playing a 6A team is meaningless if they're awful. By this system Somerset gets +4 for playing Montgomery County, who just wasn't any good. Hazard and Williamsburg were both better teams than Montgomery County and Rockcastle County but they get +7 for them and -2 for the Bulldogs and Jackets? I'll stick to the flawed RPI or CalPreps that measure the opponents records and who they've beaten. This will all get settled on the field in the next 9 weeks anyway.
