He was allowed to come back. If the team and fans just want to brush it off and act like it's not a big deal, then by all means do so. You can't lose your #2 pitcher and expect to be okay, this will hurt Paintsville down the road terribly.
First, nothing wrong was said to the kid by anyone. But I am popsitive that there are circumstances to this situation that need not be said in open forum, and rightfully so.
Hopefully everything will work out the best for all involved.
