^^ There are a lot of people getting back more by way of a federal tax refund than the amount they paid in. I do know somebody who got back far more than they paid in and it's pretty darn commonplace, actually.

I used to have the same exact thoughts. Then I learned that actually very few people get more back than they pay in taxes and even fewer take advantage of the system unlike the many claims.
