The place to have had a fight about slavery would have been back the 1800's, when John Wilberforce was busy taking the fight to abolish slavery to the British Parliament. The Brits are the ones whose entire economy was based in the slave trade, not the Americans. But the renaissance under which the consciences of the world were turned against slavery, occurred back then. I mean, we've been past slavery now for a long time. This idea that we can hold people of today accountable for what happened back then, is only eclipsed by the idiocy of making monetary restitution for same, to black folks living in this slavery free day.

In any case, you're never going to see racial biases totally eliminated. The idea is absurd and no legislative effort to do so will ever change that. But Maxine wants to hurt Trump the quintessential white man, to show him that she a black woman, can do it. It's a petty fight which in and of itself is totally grounded in racial bias.
