Not all higher level teams have sponsors. A few of the AAU teams I'm familiar with the parents pay an amount designated by the club. They also do fund raisers and set up a donation page to help fund the team. These teams also play in all of the live periods they can (Louisville and Atlanta) and get in front of as many coaches as they can. So you don't always have to play for a big time sponsored team to get in front of coaches from division 1 to NAIA schools.
