I would love to see a Belfry vs Bell County game come November. Would be a great game in my opinion. As for the Pirates, we have a great 2020 class of seniors. The last group to win a championship at the middle school level for the Pirates. We are absolutely loaded at the skill positions on both sides of the ball. On offense we'll have Bentley and Dixon at RB, not sure of the FB position right now. If Hensley plays next year I think he'll fill that spot. I think Bret Coleman will be our QB. We'll have a healthy Mounts and Cook back on defense to go along with a strong secondary with Coleman, Dixon, Birchfield, and Bentley roaming that area. Jake Baisden, Jacoby Thornsbury, and, I think, Brad Lowe will give us a massive defensive front. Those three will be key to how good our defense will be next year. But now instead of the D-Line the O-Line may be our biggest problem area. For the first time in a long time, Belfry is a big question mark at the Offensive Line position. We're graduating 4 of our 5 starters from this years team. Only returning starter on the offensive front is three year starting center Ethan Wolford. But that's it! Shawn Cochran saw alot of action last year and should be one of our new starting tackles. Other than him, I just dont know. We do have some good looking prospects though. Garrett Smith is our backup center and looked really good during the season when the 1st team was taken out. In my opinion, I would put Smith at starting center and move Wolford to guard. Ethan Wolford can play anywhere on the line at a high level. Which will give coach some things to think about. If he does move him to guard, put Smith at center and Cochran at tackle that would give us a very good one side of the line. The other two spots are up in the air.
