I don’t know how true it is, but I’ve heard he approves the plays as they’re called and that Gran gets overturned a lot especially with throwing downfield. He definitely puts the brakes on when they get a lead instead of keeping the pedal to the floor. That’s just his conservative style. It would make sense considering Grans offensive numbers from his days at Cincinnati. Whoever called the wildcat on those 4th downs coming out of a timeout each time Saturday was a bonehead. Missouri knew it was coming and had time to get set for it. With 9 and 10 in the box you’d think someone would learn but didn’t. I know we sound awful complaining about a 7-1 season but we could very easily be 8-0 with some play calling. It’s bad when an NFl scout says our play calling is just terrible and calls out the coaching staff.
