Ballard Memorial (1-4) travels to Webster County (1-4) for a 2A District 1 game. This one pretty much decides the #3 and #4 seed.

The road weary Bombers travel for the fifth time in six games. Their one home game was last week when they lost a tough one to 5A Barren County 22-20 in a rain soaked affair. The conditions made it difficult for the Bombers to effectively use their passing attack. They also lost the turnover battle 4-2 and their QB was hobbling a bit. The game tying 2pt conversion, late in the contest, looked good as the pylon was hit but the runner was ruled out of bounds. Dry conditions and Ballard Memorial is most likely 2-4, but that's football.

Webster County has been road warriors as well to this point (4 of 5 away). They have struggled over the past several seasons but have a group of kids that received most of the playing time last year. They had a good showing in week 1 but have been overpowered in games except for a win at hapless Fulton City. The Trojans matchup better in this contest by physical size and strength mainly due to the Bomber's lack of it. They can hang around in this game if they can control the ball and slow down the Bomber passing game. If they fail in either phase it could get ugly, but not as bad as last year's 66-7 loss.
