The Pike Co. BOE passed a policy that states any child being held back after 5th grade is not eligible to play in the Pike County Tourney. The vote went 4-1 with the only no vote being from the Belfry BOE member. This comes after the Kentucky State BOE passes a law that moves back the 19 yr old birthdate to July from Aug.

IMHO this was passed just to keep Belfry Middle from holding kids back, plain and simple.
