How do you measure how much a district title means with two districts per region instead of four - my guess is it will "mean" exactly the same when those players look back in 20 years.
If you reduce the number of districts and number of teams in the regional tournament you are reducing the proceeds and it does nothing for improving the game - that just isn't going to happen, in my opinion.
The only thing I'd like to see is another regional adjustment to even out the number of teams per region.
