Let's not sugar coat this, you have to put the blame on the kids and the coaches. I know we live in a world where everyone is used to getting trophies and everyone telling them they are great, but reality is you have to lay blame somewhere.

Let's get back to the Duffy era when kids were tough and had thick skin or they didn't play.

Couldn't agree more! I do believe coaches and players are to be held "accountable", just don't agree with pinning the blame on one kid.
I will on the other hand give kids the credit when they put the team on their shoulders, like Beau Hoge did in 2014. IMO he was a major reason for several of their victories. Didn't do it all by himself, but he did put the team in position to win in a number of games with pure athletic ability and football IQ. Maybe everyone was spoiled with such a talented kid in the preceding year and expected lighting to strike twice.
At the end of the day, that was then and this is now.
Wish the Birds the best in 2018. Keep working hard and getting better every day...good things will come if they gel.
