The nature of promises is they are immuned from changing circumstances. There was a direct retirement system in place with public education. They are not immune to bankruptcy due to their own negligence..Teachers, regardless of their own elitists opinions of themselves are not a protected species. For a profession that touts their own supreme intelligence, they sure haven't looked very intelligent, while they for the last 30 years stood there and watched their liberal politician crooked friends (i.e. Rocky Adkins, the Andy Beshear gang) and their own union bosses rob them blind. And are now again blindly putting their hopes, dreams, and support back into the ones that stole it from them to begin with while they watched every single moment of it. Yeah, that's real smart, isn't it? Of course when you place the burden on those who had no part in this mess to begin with to bail you out, well, who cares? We can just go on status quo for eternity?
