So what happens when the state is broke and can not pay out the terms of its invoidable contract? Thats where its headed if nothing is done.

Don't know how they are going to raise the money, but last I heard they only have like 15 percent of the money they need to pay retirees for the next 30 years. Definitely a bad situation, can't remember the amount bevin said it was but somewhere in the 40 billion range I think. Like I said Cali was in same boat and decided retirees wouldn't get their retirement, supreme court said otherwise. Guess they better legalize pot, casinos, or something to get the money, cause they will have to pay it. I'm sure the regular Joes will get taxed to death if they don't try any of those type things, cause we all know the politicians ain't going to give it up out of their pockets. A shame the amount of money that has been mismanaged for decades, and not a single politician will spend a day in jail for it. I look for them to do furloughs again soon like they did a few years ago again, where they make workers take off a few days, so they can not pay them for a week. Makes it dangerous with us being short handed but why should Frankfort care it ain't them in danger. Wouldn't suprise me if they start releasing a lot of felons from prison so they can shut some prisons down, and save money. You wouldn't believe the amount it costs to run 1 prison, and we have a dozen running. I was told what the utility bill was time for 1 prison for a month and it's insane.
