Since I could care less about a teachers pension, please correct me if I'm wrong, but why are these people still whining?
From what I can tell, pretty much the only thing that has changed is they can't horde sick days (neither can any normal person) and new teachers, not existing ones, have to start a flexible spending retirement plan.

Am i missing something here? Imean teachers literally get about 4 months off a year. From the looks of it, bevin just saved your retirement since it was wasteful spending libs who destroyed it.

What am I missing? If the continue to cause a disturbance of school days should those teachers be fired for insubordination?

I agree that teachers dont have it that bad, and have plenty of time off, but what you are missing is regardless that most jobs dont allow this, and regardless that they certainly have plenty of time off is they where promised these things when they took the job. If the state wants to do away with it for future hire ins then fine, and it will be up to future employees whether they take the job without all the sick time benefits or not, but when you have someone sign on the dotted line for a contract, and they agree to work for you under the terms of that contract, how is it morally right for the state to say we are no longer going to honor our promise, just because we are the government, and can do what we want. I signed on the dotted line at another state job, and under my contract it says i cannot strike, or protest, im expected to honor my end or i will be put in jail on the other side of the bars, so why shouldnt the state be obligated to honor the things im supposed to get.
