If you win your class, then you can say you're the best in that class. So, yeah. That's a pretty weak argument. If you beat everyone you have to beat, you're the best. If you don't, you aren't.

That doesn't change that fact that there are teams that will win by default because the better teams aren't there anymore. Sure you can say you are the best in that class but you if you are only winning because the better teams aren't there anymore does it really make you a strong team? You are the best because you beat the best not because the system helped you out. And yes I would say the same thing if my team (Raceland) were to win at title after Beechwood leaves.
