I guess that is just a difference in philosophy. Would you rather "luck" your way into Saturday or Sunday or "play" your way into Saturday or Sunday.

I would “rather” do whichever gets me there lol. Obviously one would love to win against tough competition, but I doubt many tears are shed when the 11th ends up on the other side of the bracket.

Do you want to see basketball classed? It’s not “tradition for the sake of tradition”. It is concern many will start using small steps towards it since the direct shift plan hasn’t worked.

And I know a lot of high school sports fans who grow more and more turned off with each change. Alienating your base isn’t exactly a formula to get people to come out.
